It’s taken me years builld up the confidence to get here…
Creative Kay - all about me...
Growing up, I thought something was wrong with me mentally.
I remember thinking that I just wasn’t as smart as my classmates; it felt like my brain was made of scrambled eggs and I was unable to focus on anything productive.
I lacked confidence and assumed I was just not cut out for school or learning. This led to me misbehaving and passing the time by acting as the “classroom crown”.
As long as I made people laugh, I considered this a successful waste of the day for me.
Truth be told, the only time I actually realised I was the classroom clown was when we came to the end of our final year exams and it was time for students to collect their exam results… I remember going to look at the exam results board on the wall and noticing that those who had been laughing at my jokes the hardest throughout the years had been working very hard on their own studies and had achieved some fantastic exam results. I once again felt like such a FOOL.
